Vavila Refund Policy

At Vavila, we aim to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure experience when booking hotels or listing properties on our platform. Below is our refund policy, which outlines the conditions and processes regarding refunds and deposits.

  1. Hotel Booking Refunds
  • Non-Refundable Hotels: Some hotels listed on the Vavila app are not eligible for refunds once a booking is made. Users should carefully review the hotel’s refund policy before booking.

Partial Refunds: For certain hotels, users may be required to waive 25% of the booking fee if they wish to cancel their booking and receive a refund. This will be clearly stated during the booking process.

Cancellation of bookings before hotel managers accept your booking is free and comes with instant refund to your vavila wallet.

  1. Money Deposits and Usage
  • Purpose of Deposits: Vavila is not a banking system and should not be used for storing money. All deposits made into your Vavila account must be for the purpose of booking hotels or shortlets.
  • Cancellation of Booking:

In the event that a booking is canceled by either the hotel or the user, the deposited funds can be:

  • Used to book another hotel on the platform.
  • Withdrawn to your personal account. Please note, funds can only be withdrawn to the same Name used for the opening of vavila account and cannot be sent to third-party accounts or name:
  1. Unusual Deposit and Withdrawal Activity
  • Instant Withdrawal Requests: Deposits made to Vavila without being used for bookings and immediately followed by a withdrawal request will be flagged as unusual activity. In such cases, the withdrawal will be held for 48 hours for further monitoring.

-Security Monitoring: This delay is in place to help prevent money laundering, fraud, or any illegal activities. If deemed necessary, such activities will be escalated to the appropriate Nigerian security agencies for further investigation.

  1. Property Listings
    -Non-Refundable Fees: All fees paid for property listings on Vavila are non-refundable.

Access to Platform: Once payment is made, you will be granted full access to post your property on the platform, in accordance with our terms and conditions.
