Our Co-Renting feature is designed to help you find trusted roommates, verified apartments, and reduce your monthly rent burden by splitting it with others. Below is our policy to guide all users through the process:

1. Creating a Co-Renting Request

To create a co-renting request and let others join you:

  • Creating a request on the app is free.
  • You can describe the kind of roommate or flatmate you're looking for.
  • You can choose your preferred location, budget, and lifestyle match.
  • You’ll be notified when interested users want to join your request.

Note: This is a one-time fee per request, and we do not charge any commission on the rent itself.

2. Joining an Existing Co-Rent Request

Joining someone who already created a co-renting request is completely free. You can:

  • Browse open co-renting requests.
  • Chat securely through the app.
  • Confirm compatibility before agreeing to share an apartment.

This is our way of making the experience accessible to everyone, especially those who may not have the funds to create a request but still need help with rent.

3. Safety and Responsibility

At Vavila, we care deeply about the safety of every user in our community. While we provide a platform for people to find co-renters and available spaces, it’s important to understand that all verification and communication currently happen outside the app.

Your Role in Staying Safe

Because you’ll be communicating and verifying details outside the Vavila app (via phone calls, WhatsApp, or in person), we strongly encourage you to:

  • Do proper background checks before agreeing to co-rent with anyone.
  • Meet in public places if you must meet physically.
  • Never pay or transfer money without confirming the apartment and agreement terms.
  • Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, walk away.
  • Avoid sharing sensitive personal information until trust is fully established.

4. Sharing Your Information

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in:

  • Payment processing
  • Customer support
  • Marketing efforts

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

5. Vavila’s Role

Vavila is a connection platform. We help people find and link up with potential co-renters, but we do not directly handle or oversee physical meetings, financial transactions, or apartment inspections.

Because of this, Vavila will not be held responsible for any losses, conflicts, or negative experiences that may occur as a result of user interactions or transactions outside the app.

If you find yourself in an unexpected or uncomfortable situation, please reach out to us. While we may not be able to resolve every issue, we promise to:

  • Listen to your report
  • Assist with guidance or next steps
  • Flag or block suspicious users where necessary
